| Living in the darkness of the mines are a species of large Glow Beetle called the Fervo Beetle. Glow Beetles are quite common in caves and dark places all over sigma. Most of these insects use bioluminescence for one reason or another. The Fervo Beetle is an aggressive species that scuttles around the mines preying on each other or any other creatures they can find in the darkness. The Male Fervo Beetles have the duty to protect their eggs and larval offspring untill they turn into smaller versions of the adults. They leave them shortly after their shells have hardened. This gives them that little extra added protection from the multitude of preying mouths (especially female Fervos ready to lay eggs). |
