The Bone Palm has developed an effective way to protect its internal structures against radiation. It absorbs the naturally occurring silica in the ground and forms a hard case around its soft tendril like leaves. This gives the appearance of eerie bone fingers. As with all plants in the harsh climate, the Bone Palm is not fussy where it gets its moisture. The branches will grab and crush any creature that gets too close. The palm dumps the pulverised corpses at its base so it can drink the blood through its roots system. |
