Ascent |
Stage 1 |
Location: | Obsidian Tower (Level 1) (8, 11) |
The Obsidian Tower is an uncomfortable place to be. It's as if you are surrounded by a presence of someone you can't see. Along the corridors you hear a distant laughter. |
There are no other people that you meet, only strange spider like robots. Some of them attack you but others seems too involved in their duties. Eventually you find a console with a viewer which shows a feminine robot laughing at you. 'So you found your way here. I congratulate you on your initiative. But it stops here.'
'I shall now allocate the Fixits to Clean the first level. Only Fixits are allowed to be present there. Ha ha Enjoy your stay, sorry it won't last long. Well I'm lying about that, I'm recording all activity on that level through the security monitors, so I can view your death over and over. Please put up a fight. It makes it all the more entertaining.'
You must find a way to convince the Tower that you are a Fixit somehow |
Stage 2 |
Location: | Obsidian Tower (Level 1) (7, 1) |
After you built the Fixit Governor the spider robots leave you alone. You notice many of them all going in the same direction. So you follow them. You eventually come to a small console that they seem to take orders from.
The console bleeps and a message scrolls over the view screen, 'Doors to Level 2 are now unlocked.' |
Stage 3 |
Location: | Obsidian Tower (Level 2) (9, 14) |
Now you have gone up a level of the Tower, the feeling of being watched intensifies. You wander the corridors almost aimlessly. You glance over your shoulder, sure that someone is there. But nobody ever is. You suddenly hear a high pitched bleeping |
A Fixit Interface seems to be calling you? A message scrolls over the small view screen, 'I know you feel me. You have identified yourself as a Fixit, but I do not recognize your model. But that is unimportant. The MK45 Steropes have fulfilled their programming, and killed all organic life in the Level. But that does not seem to satisfy them. They have now started to attack my walls confusing me for an enemy. Take this Steropes Kill Count Blueprint and protect me from these mis-guided prototypes.'
Is the Tower talking to you? Well if so, she would prove a potent ally in your struggle to get to the laughing robot.
You receive 1 x Steropes Kill Count Blueprint |
Stage 4 |
Location: | Obsidian Tower (Level 2) (9, 14) |
The Fixit Interface bleeps as you return, words scroll over the small view screen, 'Have you made a Steropes Kill Count?' |
The screen goes blank for a few seconds, 'Yes I feel no more pain from their Turbo Laser Cannons. Thank you Fixit, I shall now open the door to the next level. You have proved that you may be trusted.'
The Doors to Level 3 are now open to you |
Stage 5 |
Location: | Obsidian Tower (Level 3) (3, 2) |
You enter the third level of the Tower, as the door closes you hear a stream of abuse being hurled at you. |
You find another console with the female Robot on the viewer, 'I can't believe you're still alive. You just don't know how to die do you? Not even on that Space Station could you do that simplest thing. You're just soooo frustrating. But my Flayers will slice you to bits. They are one of my finest prototypes. Just look at their specs and tremble.'
You receive 1 x Flayer Data File
You read the schematics of the android prototype, the whole point of this machine is to simply slice Humans into pieces. You wonder if the Tower truly knows what types of being it is harboring? You should show it the Flayer Data Files. |
Stage 6 |
Location: | Obsidian Tower (Level 3) (13, 1) |
The Fixit Interface stands in quiet corner, you wonder if the Tower really knows the type of being that lives within it. You should plug in the Flayer Data Library to show it. |
You slip the Flayer Data library into the interface. Streams of code run over the small view screen. When the lines stop the screen goes blank, 'What are these data objects Fixit?' You reply that they come from the SR Flayer, it is a killer pure and simple. That is it's only role in it's existence, to take life. The screen goes blank....
'Fixit, you have proven yourself honorable to me. I shall have to consider this new data. I shall open the next Level to you as proof of the trust I have in you.'
Level 4 is now open to you |
Stage 7 |
Location: | Obsidian Tower (Level 4) (1, 7) |
When you enter the fourth level you wonder where the console is. You don't wonder for long. You hear the robots hysterical screams from across the level. |
You stand before the console, the female robot in incandescent with wrath. She can't even draw breath (which puzzles you why a robot would need to breath), 'I shall have my vengeance upon you for this insult. Your arrogance that mere flesh can best the purity and beauty of the machine, it's beyond comprehension! Now you shall die! Custodian expunge this vermin from existence!
You must destroy the OT1 Custodian (Elite) |
Stage 8 |
Location: | Obsidian Tower (Level 4) (1, 7) |
The female robot is pacing across the viewer in frustration. 'What!? Are you not dead yet? What is that OT1 Custodian (Elite) doing?' |
The robot stands still, frozen to the spot. 'You are lying, my Custodian is almost perfect, perfect I tell you! You cannot defeat the machine. Flesh is weak, you could't kill me last time, come to me and meet your doom.'
The doors to The Apex are now open to you.
You receive 116,428 Xp and 13 Skill Points |
