Outbreak |
Stage 1 |
Location: | TIU Spearhead (L2 Sensor Command) (2, 2) |
You step through the bulkhead to find a Field Medic wearing an odd suit waving madly at you. |
The Medic runs past you and presses a few buttons on the lock. You hear the bulkhead seal slip into place. The medic turns to you, 'Why are you here?' You explain that Maintenance sent you to check out a problem concerning the Tech Cyborgs. Apparently their implants are malfunctioning. The Medic stares at you, then starts to type on his Datapad. After a few moment he looks up at you, 'I have just set a quarantine for this area, sorry but I forgot to notify Maintenance. Of course they would send someone to check on the Cyborgs. But I don't think the problem is a malfunction in the implants, but rather the host of the implants themselves.'
The Medic looks at you over his Datapad. 'There is a biological incident occurring here. I don't understand what the threat is as I have only just arrived. But I'm afraid that you cannot leave until we have we know what we are dealing with. I have done some work but my scan results are somehow not making sense. Since you are here you might as well help me. The sooner we know what is happening the better.'
'Take this TIU DNA Scan Blueprint and return with the results.'
You receive 1 x TIU DNA Scan Blueprint |
Stage 2 |
Location: | TIU Spearhead (L2 Sensor Command) (2, 2) |
The Field Medic is still pouring over the scan results on his Datapad when you return, 'Have you completed the TIU DNA Scan?' |
He takes the Scan and snaps it into his Datapad. He frowns at the small view screen, 'The results are exactly the same as my preliminary scans. I can see the tumor is important, but why do they have the raging viral activity? I don't see the connection between the two. The Medical Database is not understanding the symptoms so I cannot make a diagnosis. There has to be a source of the infection, the Cyborgs were not suffering from this yesterday. But the speed of this infection is astonishing! I'm at a loss as to what to do really.'
He sighs deeply, 'I shall compare our two Scans and see if I can learn anything new. I really need you to search for the source of this infection, return to me with what you find.' |
Stage 3 |
Location: | TIU Spearhead (L2 Sensor Command) (2, 2) |
The Field Medic works on his Datapad, frustration hovers round him as he tries to find a cure for the weird infection, 'Have you found the source of this disease? |
He takes a scan of the Slime, his Datapad emits a shrill alarm as it processes the results. You watch the expression on the Field Medic's face change from fascination into terror. 'This is Golgesh Slime! You must minimize all contact with this at all costs. It's also no wonder that I could not find this in the Medical Database as it's listed in the Military Database as a weapon.'
'I am grateful for your help, but I must leave at once and inform the Acting Captain. He will need to decide what to do about this. Be careful and don't get infected.' |
Stage 4 |
Location: | TIU Spearhead (L2 Main Deflector ) (3, 5) |
You hear the sound of gunfire, as you turn a corner you find a TIU Battle Leader killing any Golgesh he sees. |
The Battle Leader touches the side of his helmet, 'Good to see you have not been slimed! These Golgesh are a tough opponent. Don't let their apparent low tech weaponry fool you. They are also very clever, they have trouble interfacing with our technology, but given time they can figure it out. As they have done here. I have no idea how they got in but here they are. And that's a problem!'
'I've been in contact with Kalvan in Maintenance, he says that the Golgesh have disrupted our long range scanning capabilities by ripping out the Deflector Nodes. These are critical points where Data and Power Cables overlap apparently. He's given me this Blueprint but I can't get to it as I have to stop the Golgesh advance into Sensor Command. Take this Deflector Node Blueprint and replace the Deflector Nodes for both of the Deflector Balancers. Come back when you are finished.'
You receive 1 x Deflector Node Blueprint |
Stage 5 |
Location: | TIU Spearhead (L2 Main Deflector ) (10, 1) |
Before you is a tall column with a huge hole in its side. Apparently the Golgesh didn't bother with opening the hatch, they simply ripped it off it's hinges. You will need to replace the Deflector Node for the Balancer to operate properly. |
You reach into the hole and find the socket and plug in the Deflector Node. As you do so lights flicker on in the Deflector Balancer. But nothing else happens.
You will need to find the other Deflector Balancer and replace it's Deflector Node. |
Stage 6 |
Location: | TIU Spearhead (L2 Main Deflector ) (5, 11) |
Now you know what you are looking for you find the second Deflector much easier. To restore the Spearheads long range scanning capabilities you will need to replace the Deflector Node in side the Deflector Balancer. |
The Node slips easily into the socket. You see then light flick on inside the Balancer and hear a reassuring hum as power is restored to the Deflector.
You should return back to the Battle Leader and inform him of your success.' |
Stage 7 |
Location: | TIU Spearhead (L2 Main Deflector ) (3, 5) |
The Battle Leader is reloading his rifle as you return, 'Have you replaced the Deflector Nodes? |
The Battle Leader nods, 'Excellent work soldier. I sent a Scout into Scan Storage to see where the Golgesh are hiding themselves. But I have heard nothing from the Scout in a while. Can you go check on him?'
You must find the TIU Scout in Scan Storage |
Stage 8 |
Location: | TIU Spearhead (L2 Scan Storage) (2, 12) |
Crouching in the shadow of the Assembly Plant you find a TIU Scout. |
The Scout initially targets you with his rifle, then when he sees that you are not infected he relaxes. 'Sorry, you can't be too careful when the Golgesh are involved in a Mission. If you get that slime on you, it rewrites your DNA and you become a Golgesh drone. Then you are one of them.'
'We need to kill the head of the attack squad before they will retreat. I can't really do that myself as I don't have the weaponry. The way the Golgesh work is that they follow their Leader, therefore we need you to hunt down and eliminate the Golgesh Valkyrie (Elite). Return to me when you have assassinated the Valkyrie.' |
Stage 9 |
Location: | TIU Spearhead (L2 Scan Storage) (2, 12) |
The TIU Scout waits for your return, 'Have you completed your Mission Objective and taken out the Golgesh Valkyrie (Elite)?' |
The TIU Scout updates his Datapad, 'That is excellent news, we will have to take out every remainig Golgesh one at a time and deal with any further infection. It can take months to cleanse an area with a Golgesh presence. But they are a highly hierarchal society and they will follow their Leader until they die for the pride of the Empire. If their Leader is taken out, only then will they retreat. Thank you for your assistance. We can take it from here.'
You receive 537,305 Xp + 15 Skill Points |
