Boxes of Death |
|
Stage 1 |
Location: | TIU Vanguard (L1 Transit) (15, 2) |
You step through the Troop Portal into a familiar scene. Memories of the Spearhead flood back. You take a deep breath, you need to get your bearings. You see boxes and crates littering the area, they are being filled with weaponry. The Dealers down in Tar Thal are obviously doing a good trade.
You are just moving round a tall tower of creates when a Weapons tech comes screaming at you blindly. You deal with him only to be faced with another. You move on, walking between the crates looking for crazed attackers. You don't have to wait long.
You then see a Weapon Tech staring at you, then move away quickly as if he has not seen you. |
|
You have been attacked by fanatic TIU since you arrived. But this one is different. You have to run after him as he weaves through the maze of boxes trying to lose you. But eventually he darts down a dead end. He turns and meets your angry gaze, 'I can't talk to you, I can't trust you. You might be one of ... Them.'
You are missing something here. This is a TIU on a TIU starship. Who could 'Them' be? You smile then say, 'Oh, don't worry. If you want proof that I'm not a part of this crew, I will give it to you.' A confused look crosses the Weapons Tech face. He simply nods.
You know that the TIU are in love with their security codes. If you get enough of them from dead Weapons Techs, you are sure that will prove your not with 'Them'.
You must get a Vanguard Code Box to prove that you are not a member of this Starships crew. |

Stage 2 |
Location: | TIU Vanguard (L1 Transit) (15, 2) |
The odd Vanguard Tech is scanning some boxes when you return. He looks up at you sideways, 'You got proof that you're not one of Them?' |
|
The Weapons Tech takes the Box and looks at it curiously. Then he suddenly realizes what he is holding in his hands. He sees the green activation lights of the security tags. Knowing that no one would part with their Security Code willingly, this meant that you have killed at least 6 Crewmen to make this Box of Codes.
He blinks back at you, 'I see that you are a determined individual. There is a strong bond within the Crew here, it has been forged in extended periods of danger and victories. Only an outsider would take another Crewmans life. There is no way you are one of Them. I have been sent here by Central Command to see if I can find any evidence of the Dark Dragon operating from the Vanguard. But I have not been very successful in infiltrating the crew here. I haven't been here long enough for them to trust me.'
You look blankly back at him, then ask who the Dark Dragon are. The Weapons Tech smirks back at you. They are a shadow organization that moves outside of Central Command. The major body of the TIU think it's just a story, but there is evidence of resourses being misdirected and Missions being conducted without Central Commands authorization. This makes Central Command very nervous and they have assigned a small number of agents to find this Dark Dragon and put a stop to it. Although I'm not having much success at that. I could use some help.'
You nod saying 'It would make stopping the TIU selling guns to the Phantom Stalkers much easier if there were two of us.' The Tech blinks at you, 'Sorry, we are selling guns to a Mutant Tribe?' You nod and tell him that it must be stopped. The shock of your words stun him, 'I must verify what you say. But that would explain why we come back to these co-ordinates so regularly.'
'We need to access the communication logs to see if what you are saying is correct. Someone has to talk to somebody off ship to get this type of operation going. The most vulnerable place to access that data is in Sensor Control. But we must get through the Halls first. I shall meet you there. Be careful. This vessel is not that large, everyone knows everyone else here. Also you need to be able to get into the Halls, there is a security system in place there that deals with intruders. We must hope the alarm does not get tripped. Take this Clearance Badge, I hope it will let you get past the scanners. I can use my Datapad to get through them.'
You receive 1 x 468,507 Xp + 10 Skill Points + Vanguard Clearance Badge |
