Stage 1 |
Location: | TIU Vanguard (L2 Habitation) (15, 6) |
The combination of the Odysseus Command with the EMP Bomb has put a large proportion of the Vanguards systems offline. The Crew are obviously not used to this as most of their emergency systems are currently being re-set by the Vanguard Mainframe. Lucky for you, the TIU Ships designers obviously never anticipated your particular form of attack.
The Vanguard Tech mills around with the Crew. Blending in with the confusion perfectly. |
He grins at you, 'You seen them all running around like headless chickens. None of the emergency systems are available apparently. So they have revert to their crisis training and are forming a perimeter around Habitation to fight of the hostile takeover of the ship. Which is good for us. We need to access that Datacube you have. I must check that the data has not been corrupted by the EMP spike we set off. EMP does weird things to electronics.'
'There is a Maintenance Hub on this level. But My code will not be able to open the door. All sectors of the Vanguard are reset under a Crisis. Only those in that Sector are given the code numbers for that sector. It's so that you need the entire crews cooperation to run the ship if it has been boarded. This means that you will need to get the Registered Crisis Code of one of the Crew who were in this area at the time the Crisis happened. We were both in Communications Station at the time of the EMP detonation, so my Code Tag will be keyed into that area not this one unfortunately.'
'I'll be here when you have the Habitation RCC.' |

Stage 2 |
Location: | TIU Vanguard (L2 Habitation) (15, 6) |
The Vanguard Tech waits for you to return, 'You managed to find the Habitation Registry Crisis Code?' |
The Tech takes the Code from you, 'Well done. These things are never easy to come by. We should now be able to get into the Vanguard Maintenance Hub with this, I'll meet you there.' |
Stage 3 |
Location: | TIU Vanguard (L2 Maintenance Hub) (2, 2) |
A familiar TIU computer console sits in the center of the small room. 'This Console should be able to access the Black Datacube you have.' |
He places the Cube on the scanner disc beside the keyboard. A window pops open and a loading bar starts to inch its way along a progress line. Then suddenly - streams of files fill the screen. The Tech grins wildly at you, 'Looks like we got something after all.'
He clicks through some logs and sighs deeply. 'There are thousands of coms logs here, I'll look for the Captains name and see his if he has anything to do with this Weapons selling you mention. It strictly against TIU regulations to do so. We do not want to arm our opponents with our own technology after all. Bad strategy there.'
He bites his lower lip as he works through the files, the then stops at one file. 'Oh, this looks like a complaint about the variety of units available. I wonder...' He opens up the file and stares at the words. 'It looks like you're right, this is an operatives request for Flamers as well as portable Chain Guns. The Captain quashes the Chain Guns as unnecessary for requirements for the operation. Though he agrees with the Flamers as it would appeal to the PS crudity therefore serve their mission needs. It also has a Mission ID... With this I can see which officer has been attached to resource that Operation.' He snatches the Cube and puts it in his pocket.
He smiles wildly at you, 'This is all we need. Lets get out of here. We simply need to get to the Life Pod Chamber and off this boat and contact my Handler at Central Command. Lets go!' |
Stage 4 |
Location: | TIU Vanguard (L2 Life Pod Chamber) (10, 2) |
You enter the Life Pod Chamber to find the Vanguard Tech battling with a large Mechanical Arm. |
The Tech grins at you, 'Yeah, I'll just finish this off. We should be able to just jump onto a Life Pod and escape. But I guess the Captain is more devious than I gave him credit for. He has put the whole section on lockdown, only he can do such a thing. We need the code of course, I'm guessing its the same system as the Crisis Code he is using. The Crisis System Arm must have the code. Go get it or we are stuck here.' |
Stage 5 |
Location: | TIU Vanguard (L2 Life Pod Chamber) (10, 2) |
The Mechanical Arm smolders at the Techs feet when you return, 'You got the Code that is locking down the Life Pods?' |
He takes the number from you and slips it into his Datapad, then mutters in frustration. 'The number has been Encrypted with a triple layer data wall. I could hack it, given a week. Of course we don't have that luxury. There is nothing for it, we need to get past this and onto a Lifepod. This can only be done with a Captains Authorization, we need to get the Keys for each of the data walls. I guess the Captain has those Keys. Meet me in the Command Deck, I don't fancy facing him alone.' |
Stage 6 |
Location: | TIU Vanguard (L2 Command Deck) (10, 3) |
The Weapons Tech waves you over. |
'I've looked at some high level security algorithms, on the Datastore. I doubt that the Captain has gone to all the trouble in making his own security protocols. But we still need the individual Keys for each of the data walls protecting the code you gave me. Of course each Key is unique to the data wall set up. But here is the Blueprint you will need to compile the Captains Protocol that unlocks the Encrypted Vanguard Number.'
You receive 1 x Vanguard Captains Protocol Blueprint |
Stage 7 |
Location: | TIU Vanguard (L2 Command Deck) (10, 3) |
The Weapons Tech waits for you nervously, 'You got the Captains Protocol yet? We can't get the Lifepods working without it.' |
He snatches the Protocol from you and snaps it into his Datapad. Fingers frantically fly over the small viewscreen. There is a shrill bleep and the Tech looks up at you in triumph. 'We did it...' Then his eyes focus behind you. He suddenly drops the Datapad into your hands and pulls out a small pistol. You feel the muzzle flare against your cheek, then hear a body fall behind you.
He shifts his aim again, 'Just choose a destination, I'll hold off these Dark Dragon Soldiers till you do.' You look at the small map in the view screen, you see Taulin highlighted in the center, you smile and scroll the mini map down. The Dahon Plains come into view. You want to land amongst friends after all.
You say quickly, 'Ok, the landing co-ordinates are set. Lets go!'
You receive 1,037,439 Xp + 20 Skill Points. |
