Shocking Return |
|
Stage 1 |
Location: | The Circle (Muster Point) (12, 14) |
You step out of the portal and quickly find a Network terminal. |
|
The Small viewscreen flickers for a second, then Accord smiles up at you. 'Welcome back Unit. I have been talking to Cerrath, it is nice to find another AI to converse with. I didn't realize quite how lonely I was until now. Cerrath is progressing well with implementing new bodies for my Soldiers. I was worried that with the new bodies old revelries would surface within the ranks between the Accord and Rebellion troops. But a hatred of the Golgesh seems to have been ingrained within both sides of my forces. Maybe it is something to do with the treatment of the Rebellion prisoners of war by the Golgeah, or something to do with the production process of Cerrath. But the Golgesh presence seems to have galvanized our forces into one fighting unit to protect Cerrath and give time for Cerrath to revive their fallen brothers in arms. Apparently they are just slaughtering the Golgesh units. It took 15 troopers 5 hours to clear the entire facility of all Golgesh with zero casualties. A testament to Accord technology and Cerrath quality control.' You see fierce pride flare in Accords eyes as she speaks of the success of her troopers, but the flawless features of Accord suddenly darken with concern.
'I thought our problems were at last over, but I seem to have been mistaken. You asked me to look for an area big enough for the Golgesh to produce a Mega Ganth earlier. I was not able to cut through the quantum curtains that are lacing the area. But I did manage to access some of my old plans of Tarrolan City. There is only one area big enough to grow an Entity of that size. It's the Tarrolan Starport. Or more precisely the car park. Originally the Car Park was one huge area under a magnificent polarized energy field. When the starcrafts fuel emissions touched the shield it send stunning colours right over the Car Park. It was beautiful to see. I assume it took a while for the energy field to dissipate, so I would guess that the Car Park might still be there.'
'But that is not our immediate concern. I have a problem with troopers apparently appearing out of thin air. I require you to find out exactly what these troopers are. To get to the Starport you will have to cross the Northern Quadrant of the Circle. Now that hostilities have officially ceased, I'm confused why there are still Accord and Rebellion forces fighting on the Northern Quadrant and also why they apparently do not answer to my communications. There has been a number of strange troopers appearing in the Muster point. Please find out who these troopers are as they also do not answer my hails. I shall wait here for your speedy return.' |

Stage 2 |
Location: | The Circle (Muster Point) (12, 14) |
Accord greets you with a smile, 'Have you managed to find anything that would tell us who the troopers are?' |
|
You place the Shock Generator onto the scanning pad next to the keyboard of the network terminal. A blue light traces along the Generator as it scans. Accord's smile quickly evaporates, 'I'm sorry, but this cannot be correct. Are you sure that this Generator was taken from a Trooper today?' Confused you nod, and tell her that you had to fight a Rebellion Trooper to the death for it.
Accord stares at you, 'But this trooper and the entire battalion was destroyed in an operation 60 years ago. I have a feeling that the quantum effects are moving somehow. We must find a way to stop them. If I get enveloped in the past, I have no idea what will happen to my data. I need to make sure the past does not catch up with me. But you seem to be unaffected so you can investigate the anomaly for me? I shall give you this shielded comms unit, it will protect the unit from the quantum effects.'
Beside you on the scanner pad there is a whine and a flash. Next to the Shock generator a field comms unit sits. Accord looks seriously at you, 'Unit, I need you to discover what is going on and give me some data so that I can evaluate the threat. As you worked so well together last time, I shall have Syrus FPv9 meet you in Broken Ground just outside the Bunker. Fpv9 will then relay my Mission updates as often as possible. Good luck Unit.'
Find Strus Fpv9 in the Broken Ground.
You receive 1 x Accord Shielded Comms Unit. |

Stage 3 |
Location: | The Circle (Broken Ground) (17, 17) |
As you step out the Bunker you find a familiar droid hovering in place behind a shimmering force field. |
|
Syrus slowly spins in the air, 'We meet again Unit. Glad to see you took my advice by not dying. We seem to have been given a task of data collection, well there is no time like the present. And I just hope that I'm not being purely ironic when I say that. Anyway, we need to get past these Sphere Hunters. Whilst you're at it, it would be useful if you could get a copy of their Current Mission Status. Be quick, time might not be our friend.'
Kill 100 Rebellion Sphere Hunters and retrieve a copy of their Squads Mission Status. |

|
Stage 4 |
Location: | The Circle (Broken Ground) (17, 17) |
Syrus floats safely enveloped within its force field, 'Did you thin out those Sphere Hunters and get a copy of the Mission Status yet?' |
|
The belly tray slides open and you drop the Rebellion Sphere Hunter Mission Status into it. The tray retracts and after a few moments there is several bleeping sounds, Syrus sighs deeply. 'It looks like we were right. With our new access to Rebellion Archive we can see that this Sphere Hunter was indeed a part of an operation 60 years ago. We need to see how big the quantum effect is. The only way to do that is to go look unfortunately. Meet me in the Terrace.'
Without another word Syrus fades from sight.
