The huge claw stops in mid air, a gurgling laugh bubbles from the Monstrosities throat. 'Our kind give no quarter. The weak does not deserve to live. This is our way. My time is over, my life flows from me.' You now see black blood oozing slowly from deep wounds across his chest. 'The Echoes attacked my tribe, I lead the defense. We pushed them from our domain. I took many from this world, I even killed their Leader. I took my trophy from his corpse. It pleases me that I denied them both their victory and their precious Leader.' He then shows you a Runed Staff, 'This is my prize, though I would prefer to live.'
Light glitters along the Staff. You know it's important. 'I will help you live for the price of the Staff.' The Monstrosity stares at you, 'You could simply wait for me to die, why trade?' The thought had not occurred to you, 'Where is the honor in that?' He actually smiles at you, it is all teeth and vaguely disturbing to look at, 'Ha ha - I see that the pleasure of victory is not just reserved to my people. The Mutant takes the pouch in it claw-like hand and deftly opens it and consumes it whole. You see the wounds on his chest start to close almost instantly. He stands slowly, then laughs. It reverberates around the small chamber. 'Thank you stranger. A deal is a deal. Take your trophy and walk with honor.'
